The AWD M2 will probably be the safer choice for most buyers, but I do worry about losing that pure RWD engagement. Hopefully BMW gives us good driver assistance options to dial in the handling.

Following up - does anyone know if both drivetrain options will be available globally or just in certain markets? That could be a deciding factor for many buyers.

Looking at leaked images, the design seems consistent with current BMW language. Nothing revolutionary, but it looks sharp. The real question is how it drives.

I'm really excited about the overall direction. Performance, electrification, and practicality - BMW is trying to cover all bases. That's good for consumers who have different priorities.
