Hey everyone, I came across this 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Coupe with only 12,000 miles and wanted to get some community feedback before moving forward. The car appears to be in excellent condition with what looks like meticulous maintenance throughout its ownership. The Vanquish has always been one of my dream cars, and this particular example seems like a solid opportunity.
The 2017 model year represents the final generation of the Vanquish before Aston Martin transitioned to their newer lineup. This coupe features the legendary 6.0L V12 engine producing 595 horsepower, which delivers an absolutely thrilling driving experience. With only 12,000 miles on the odometer, this car is essentially still breaking in.
From what I can gather, the service history appears complete, and the car has been stored and maintained properly. The exterior finish looks pristine, and the interior leather and trim work are in exceptional shape. The price point seems reasonable for the low mileage and condition, but I'm curious what others think about the market value for this particular model.
I'm mainly interested in hearing from anyone with Vanquish experience or knowledge about common issues to watch for. I've heard the V12 engines are robust, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything important. Also interested in realistic expectations for ongoing maintenance and fuel consumption. Any insights would be greatly appreciated before I make a decision on this one!

The Vanquish has always been such an elegant machine. Those proportions are just perfect. With 12k miles, you're getting a car that's essentially a collector's piece at this point. I'd definitely jump on it if the price is right!

That's an incredible find! 12k miles on a Vanquish is practically brand new. The V12 is a magnificent engine, and at that mileage you're looking at a car that has barely been used. The 2017 is the last true Vanquish generation which makes it even more collectible. Have you had a pre-purchase inspection done yet?

Beautiful car but I have to be honest - Aston Martin reliability isn't the best. You're going to be looking at some serious maintenance costs down the road. V12 services aren't cheap, and neither are repairs if something goes wrong. Make sure you budget accordingly.

Have you considered the running costs? These V12 Astons are thirsty. Fuel consumption will be substantial, and regular maintenance on a V12 of this caliber runs into the thousands per service cycle. Just want to make sure you're eyes wide open on the total cost of ownership.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've already scheduled a pre-purchase inspection with a specialist who focuses on exotic marques. You're right about the running costs - I've been researching and prepared for higher maintenance expenses. The fuel consumption is definitely a factor, but this is more of a weekend car for me anyway. The 12k miles won't become 50k overnight, so I'm comfortable with the commitment.

I respectfully disagree with the reliability concerns being overstated here. Modern Aston Martins, especially the later Vanquishes, are quite solid. Yes, they're expensive to maintain, but that's true of any exotic. The real question is whether you love it enough to own it, and clearly you do.

The 2017 Vanquish is an absolute steal compared to earlier generations. The improvements Aston made in that final year are substantial. If the service records check out and it's been properly maintained, this could be one of the best purchases you make. V12 British engineering at its finest.

Congratulations on finding this gem! The Vanquish Coupe is absolutely stunning to look at. That 6.0L V12 is legendary. With 12k miles, you've essentially won the lottery in terms of condition and collectibility. What color is it?

This is the exact car I've been dreaming about! The specs sound perfect. The V12 engine alone makes this worth serious consideration. Please keep us updated on the inspection results. Dying to know if you move forward with it!
