Hey everyone! Just saw the news that Cupra is giving the Born a sharp new look and it's being unveiled on March 5th. I'm pretty excited about this since the Born has been one of the more interesting electric vehicles in the compact segment. The current generation has decent styling, but a refresh could really push it into another league.
From what I've gathered, this redesign should bring some updated exterior elements and probably some interior refinements too. Cupra has been doing a solid job establishing itself as a sportier alternative to the standard VW lineup, so I'm expecting this refresh to maintain that aggressive aesthetic while maybe cleaning things up a bit.
The Born's been doing reasonably well in markets where it's available, and with the EV market becoming increasingly competitive, a fresh look could help it stand out from the growing number of electric compact cars. I'm particularly interested in seeing if they've made any changes to the performance specs or battery options.
Has anyone here been following the Born closely? What are your expectations for the refresh? Are you thinking the current design needed updating, or do you reckon they should have left well enough alone? Looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks about this announcement. March 5th is just around the corner, so we won't have to wait too long to see what Cupra has planned!

Finally some action from Cupra! I think the Born is a solid car but the styling could definitely be more aggressive. Hopefully they're giving it some real visual punch with this refresh.

Great find, Daniel! I've been curious about what Cupra would do next with the Born. The current design is nice but definitely could use some sharpening up. A refresh feels overdue at this point.

Anyone know if the maintenance costs are going to change with the new model? That's usually a concern when manufacturers do major updates. Would be good to know if they're keeping parts pricing reasonable.

I'm actually pretty excited about this! The Born is already a fun drive, and if they're making it look sharper, I'm all for it. Can't wait to see the official unveiling.

Thanks for the responses! I'm actually quite optimistic about this. Looking at how Cupra has evolved as a brand, they seem to understand what their customers want. The refresh should align with the sportier direction they've been pushing.

Disagree with the hype here. The Born doesn't need a refresh. They should be focusing on improving range and battery technology instead of cosmetic updates. The market cares more about substance than style.

I'm not sure about this refresh honestly. The current Born looks pretty modern already. Sometimes these updates just feel like change for change's sake. Hope they don't mess with a good thing.

March 5th can't come soon enough! I'm expecting sharper headlights, updated front bumper, and maybe some new wheel designs. Cupra usually nails the styling when they put their minds to it.

The current Born is already quite aggressive in styling though. Wonder if they're going to tone it down or push it even further. Either way, a refresh is welcome in this segment.
