Smart approach on the bidding strategy. These auctions can get heated in the final moments. Just remember you're looking for a daily driver or weekend car so focus on condition and maintenance history rather than getting caught up in the auction fever.

One more thing - check all the rubber seals, gaskets, and hoses carefully. That's where age really shows on these cars. If the previous owner was meticulous about preventive maintenance you'll be in much better shape long term.

Does the listing mention anything about service records? That would be crucial for me before committing to this purchase. Also, have you checked the title history to make sure there are no issues? Sometimes Bring a Trailer listings don't include all the details you need.

Good point about service records - the listing does show fairly complete history which is reassuring. I've already pulled the Carfax and title looks clean. I'll be setting my max bid strategically and won't get emotional about it. If it goes too high I'll just wait for the next one.
