2018 Porsche 911 GT3 6-Speed Manual - Only 18k Miles, Pristine Condition

Post by ameliajohnson443 »

Hey everyone, I found this incredible 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 with just 18,000 miles on the odometer and I'm seriously considering making an offer. This is one of the most sought-after iterations of the GT3 lineup, and this particular example appears to be in pristine condition throughout.

The 6-speed manual transmission is what really gets me excited here. In today's market where manual sports cars are becoming increasingly rare, having a proper stick shift in a 911 GT3 is a huge value proposition. The 3.4L naturally aspirated flat-six engine produces 475 horsepower and is known for being incredibly reliable and engaging to drive.

Looking at the listing details, the car shows typical GT3 equipment: carbon ceramic brakes, extensive carbon fiber trim, sport seats, and the iconic aerodynamic package that makes the GT3 instantly recognizable. The mileage is incredibly low for a 2018 model, which suggests this has been garaged and driven sparingly by an owner who understands the value of what they have.

I'm trying to decide if the asking price is fair given the current market conditions. The GT3 market has been strong, especially for manual examples, but I want to make sure I'm not overpaying. I'm also curious about service history and whether there are any known issues I should be aware of with this generation.

Has anyone here owned or driven a 991 GT3? What's your experience been like? Any advice on what to look for during a pre-purchase inspection? I'd really appreciate some insight from this community before I move forward with this potential purchase.

I'd be cautious about the price. Yes, it's a nice car, but 18k miles on a 2018 shouldn't command a premium that matches higher-mileage examples if it's been sitting. Tires and brakes degrade with time, not just miles. Make sure you factor that into your offer.

That's an absolutely stunning find! The combination of low mileage, manual transmission, and the 2018 model year makes this one of the best GT3s you could hope to find. Manual sports cars are becoming collectible, and the 991 GT3 is a future classic. You should definitely have a PPI done by a Porsche specialist.

The 991 GT3 is an absolute weapon on track. That naturally aspirated engine is pure music. 475 hp might not sound like much compared to turbo cars, but the way it delivers power is addictive. You'll love it if you go for it.

Before you commit, make absolutely sure about the maintenance history. Porsche warranty on a 2018 might be expired or close to it. Annual maintenance on a GT3 isn't cheap, and you'll want to know if everything has been done correctly.

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far! I've already scheduled a PPI with a well-known Porsche specialist in my area. The service history looks complete through the Porsche dealer network, which is reassuring. I'm specifically looking at the pre-purchase inspection for any signs of track use or abuse, since these cars are sometimes driven hard.

That wing is iconic. The entire design of the 991 GT3 is timeless. I've driven several generations of GT3, and the 991 is definitely up there with the best. The manual makes it even more special.

I disagree with the sentiment that low mileage automatically means premium pricing. This car has been sitting for years, and storage isn't free either. Fluid changes, tire replacements, potential brake fluid issues - all common problems with low-mileage cars stored long-term. Get that inspection done.

Manual GT3 in 2024? You're looking at a future collectible right there. Porsche stopped offering the manual in the 992 generation, so the 991 will only become more valuable. Don't overthink this too much.

One thing people don't always talk about is insurance costs. Before you buy, get a quote from your insurance company. GT3s can be pricey to insure, especially at the modified or sport-tuned level. Just a heads up.
