The video quality on that Jalopnik link is fantastic. Makes it easy to see exactly what the pro driver is doing with steering inputs and throttle control. Definitely worth the watch just for the production value alone.

For anyone thinking about COTA track days, make sure your car is properly prepared. Overheating can be an issue, especially through the fast sections. Cooling system and tire selection are critical.

Amelia, have you tried this guide yourself yet? Would love to hear your firsthand experience once you get to a track day with these techniques in mind. Please report back!

I disagree with calling COTA a 'road course master' guide without more specifics. There are different skill levels and different types of racing. This guide might be perfect for club racers but maybe not detailed enough for someone aiming for professional competition. What's the target audience here?

The section on turn-in points and apex speeds is what I'm most interested in. COTA has some turns that look like they need completely different approaches based on track conditions. Hopefully the guide addresses that variability.

I appreciate the resource, but anyone considering this should also invest in proper instruction. A guide video is fantastic, but having a professional instructor on track with you makes all the difference. The investment pays for itself in how much faster you improve.
