Re: 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with Only 4,900 Miles - Factory Fresh Gullwing Coupe

Thanks for all the responses so far. @noah78, that's actually one of my main concerns. The maintenance costs on these things must be astronomical. Does anyone have actual experience with what the annual service runs?

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with Only 4,900 Miles - Factory Fresh Gullwing Coupe

Hey everyone, I found this incredible 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG on Bring a Trailer and wanted to get some feedback from the community. This is a stunning example with just 4,900 miles on the odometer, which is basically brand new for a vehicle this age. The SLS AMG is one of Mercedes' most iconic ...

Re: Buyer's Nightmare: £50k Maserati with Surprise £50k Restoration Bill

This is actually a cautionary tale about trusting handshake deals in the collector car market. Everything needs to be documented in writing with specific deliverables and price caps. No exceptions.

Re: Buyer's Nightmare: £50k Maserati with Surprise £50k Restoration Bill

Honestly, I'd be more suspicious of what 'free' restoration actually meant in the original agreement. Were there limits on what systems would be restored? Paint only? Full mechanical? Electrical? That ambiguity is where problems start.

Re: 2026 Lexus LS Heritage Edition - Photo Gallery Discussion

Beyond maintenance, insurance on this thing is probably steep too. Full package of luxury ownership costs something serious.

Re: 2026 Lexus LS Heritage Edition - Photo Gallery Discussion

Has anyone considered the maintenance costs on these? Lexus service is getting pretty expensive. The Heritage Edition probably comes with premium pricing for repairs and maintenance too.

Re: Lincoln Planning Bronco-Based G-Wagon Competitor? New Luxury SUV Rumors

I still disagree. Consumers buying in this segment are buying heritage and proven capability. Ford and Lincoln just don't have that pedigree in luxury vehicles. This feels like it's doomed before it starts.

Re: Lincoln Planning Bronco-Based G-Wagon Competitor? New Luxury SUV Rumors

I don't think this will work. The G-Wagon has decades of heritage and prestige. Lincoln building something based on the Bronco just feels like they're trying too hard to copy success instead of creating their own identity.
