Military Lasers Target Wrong Aircraft Again in El Paso - This is Getting Ridiculous

So this is the second time in recent memory that military lasers have been used against the wrong target in El Paso airspace. I just read about another incident where military personnel directed high-powered lasers at aircraft that weren't the intended targets. This is becoming a serious safety concern.
For those unfamiliar with the context, military laser systems are designed for specific defensive purposes, but there have been multiple documented cases where these systems have malfunctioned or been misused, resulting in them targeting civilian or wrong military aircraft in the El Paso area.
Let me be clear: I support our military and understand they have legitimate security needs. However, when you're dealing with equipment powerful enough to potentially damage aircraft systems or blind pilots, accuracy and proper protocols are absolutely critical. The fact that this has happened more than once suggests there might be systemic issues with training, communication, or equipment calibration.
What's particularly concerning is that El Paso is a major commercial aviation hub with plenty of civilian air traffic. Imagine if one of these laser incidents had occurred with a civilian airliner full of passengers. The consequences could have been catastrophic.
I want to see transparency about what happened, how it happened, and what measures are being implemented to ensure this doesn't happen a third time. The military needs to conduct a thorough review of their laser targeting procedures and safety protocols in the El Paso region.
Has anyone else been following this story? What are your thoughts on the safety implications and the need for better oversight?
