Look, I get why BMW is doing this, but it feels like they're chasing trends instead of staying true to their heritage. Not every vehicle needs to be compromised with AWD.

I'm genuinely curious about the i3 sedan dimensions. Will it have more trunk space than the current hatchback? That's what would really sell it to me.

The market will decide, but I think BMW should have created a separate M2 line rather than replacing the RWD version entirely. Options are always better than elimination.

Has anyone thought about the maintenance costs on these new variants? xDrive systems are more complex than standard drivetrains, and that usually translates to higher service bills. Something to consider before getting excited.

This leak is probably intentional. BMW knows how to build hype before an official announcement. These variants will likely debut at a major auto show soon.

Beyond maintenance costs, I'm wondering about tire wear patterns on the M2 xDrive. Different than traditional RWD performance cars, definitely adds to ownership considerations.

Can we talk about fuel efficiency? If the M2 xDrive is heavier due to the extra drivetrain complexity, won't that impact efficiency? Just something to consider.
