Anyone know which specific models GM is bringing? Are we talking Silverado, Sierra, Chevrolet Tahoe? The SUV category could actually work better in Europe than the trucks.

I'm genuinely excited about this. American full-size trucks represent freedom and capability that European vehicles just don't capture the same way. Even if they're impractical for some, there's definitely a market here.

The dealership network is already adapting. Several major GM retailers are already preparing service centers specifically for these vehicles. It's happening faster than people think.

Look, I appreciate the enthusiasm, but let's be realistic. Most British drivers will struggle with the size, the running costs will be horrifying, and insurance premiums will reflect the replacement parts complexity. This is a niche product at best.

Even if they're niche, that's fine! Not everything needs to appeal to the average family car buyer. Some people want statement vehicles, and American trucks definitely make a statement. The market will decide what works.

Whether it's trucks or SUVs, I'm just excited to have choices. The European automotive market has been homogeneous for too long. Some variety and competition from American manufacturers is healthy and exciting.

Regardless of which models arrive, the service and maintenance ecosystem doesn't exist yet. Dealers will need to invest heavily in training, parts inventory, and technical support. This is a significant barrier.

The folding mirrors really do show attention to detail. It's the little adaptations that make the difference between a product that works in a new market versus one that just sits on the shelf. Respect to GM's engineering team.
