I don't think this is surprising at all. Gas stations operate on razor-thin margins. They're always looking for ways to cut costs. This is just the cost of capitalism, unfortunately. Buyers beware.

Has anyone actually verified this report independently? Where's the methodology? How many stations were tested? What were the specific margin of error standards? This sounds like one of those sensationalized automotive stories.
