Curious about the timeline on this. When would Stellantis need to make a decision? And what happens to the rezoned land if they don't reopen? There needs to be a backup plan for Brampton.

@andrewhall59 Good questions. I imagine the city has negotiated some kind of timeline and contingencies. They wouldn't offer rezoning without some guarantees from Stellantis about their intentions.

The problem is that manufacturing in Canada faces headwinds. Labor costs, environmental regulations, and proximity to US markets all play a role. Rezoning doesn't solve those structural issues.
