Am I the only one worried about parts availability and dealer network? Lotus's North American presence has been sketchy. Getting service could be a nightmare for owners not near major cities. That's a serious practical concern at this price point.

Sofia makes a good point. Service infrastructure matters. That said, if you're buying this car, you probably have resources to handle specialty maintenance or transport it to a qualified shop. It's the trade-off for owning something truly different.

Different strokes for different folks. Not every car needs to appeal to the mass market. Porsche thrives on building cars for specific customer profiles. Lotus can do the same if they execute properly. The question is execution quality.

Still not convinced. The automotive market has moved on from this 'less is more' concept for good reasons. Modern safety systems, comfort tech, and reliability improvements exist because consumers demanded them. This feels like willful regression.

I keep coming back to real-world costs. Insurance alone on a $110K Lotus is going to be steep. Add in specialized maintenance, tires for a lightweight performance vehicle, and you're looking at significant ownership costs beyond the purchase price. People need to understand that.

Has anyone actually seen real performance figures yet? 0-60 times, handling metrics, top speed? Those would be the real test of whether this engineering philosophy pays off in measurable ways. Pure philosophy without performance is just expensive minimalism.

The styling is growing on me. Yeah, it's referential to the original, but it doesn't look like a cheap retro exercise. There's enough modern interpretation to feel fresh while respecting the heritage. Not quite as creative as I'd hoped, but solid design work.
