The side profile in the third photo is just stunning. The way the body line flows from the front fender to the rear is masterful. Pure proportional harmony.

The targa top is such a great feature. Looking at these photos, you can really see how that design choice makes the car feel more open and connected to the road.

The wheel design in some of these shots is quintessential 80s Italian sports car. Those alloys look perfect for the proportions of the X1/9.

Does anyone know if these photos are from an actual test drive or just studio shots? The lighting and detail are so good.

Nice selection of photos, Michael. Even if I had my reservations about the styling, you have to admit the Bertone brand did excellent work here.

I have to disagree with the earlier sentiment about how well it has aged. The materials and construction methods of the 80s just don't compare to what we have now. These cars look fragile in photos.
