Thanks for the info, Daniel. That's reassuring. I was worried about the maintenance cost for my 2019 Ford Escape, but if it's fully covered, that takes a huge weight off my shoulders.

Luna, thanks for starting this thread. It's been really helpful seeing other people's experiences. I scheduled my appointment for next week and I'm feeling much better about the whole situation now.

I work at a Ford dealership and can confirm we've been swamped with recall appointments. The good news is that these repairs are fully covered under warranty. No cost to customers at all. Just need to schedule an appointment and bring your vehicle in.

Okay, so I called Ford corporate and they confirmed that the entire repair is covered under the recall at no cost. I called the dealership back and they apologized for the confusion. New appointment scheduled for this Saturday!

Glad to hear you got it sorted out, Anna. This is exactly the kind of recall that could have had serious consequences if people ignored it. Stay safe out there everyone.

Quick update: Just got back from my dealer appointment. They replaced the entire rear lighting assembly on my truck in about 2 hours. Everything's working perfectly now. Definitely recommend getting yours done ASAP if you're affected.
