Update: Called my dealer today and they said they're expecting parts for the fix around mid-month. Hoping it really is just a software update like sofia_garcia mentioned, because that would mean quick turnaround time.

My cousin works at a Ford dealership and says they're expecting a huge influx of vehicles coming in for this recall. He's suggesting people schedule appointments now rather than waiting because wait times will get crazy.
