I think the Uncharted is overrated. Hyundai's Ioniq and Kia's Niro EV offer better range, faster charging, and more advanced tech features at similar prices. Subaru is playing catch-up, and it shows.

Cold weather performance is critical for people in northern states. Subaru's typical AWD system is great, but their EV battery tech hasn't been proven yet. Volkswagen and Chevy have better track records with winter efficiency. I'm waiting for independent winter tests.

The dealer experience will make or break this vehicle. Subaru dealers are used to selling combustion engines. If they can't properly maintain these EVs or educate customers, it's game over. Subaru needs to invest heavily in technician training.

The software updates worry me. Will Subaru support the Uncharted for 7-10 years with regular OTA updates? Tesla does it well, but Subaru's track record with continuous software support is weaker.

I'm buying one anyway. I live in California, have access to Superchargers, and my daily commute is 40 miles. The Uncharted checks my boxes perfectly. Not everyone needs the most advanced EV on the market.

One positive people aren't mentioning enough: Subaru's build quality and fit-and-finish are genuinely excellent. The interior plastics and panel gaps are tight. That craftsmanship carries over from their gas vehicles.

James, that's the key insight. The Uncharted isn't for everyone, but for practical buyers with realistic expectations, it's a reasonable choice. My concern is that some people will buy it thinking it's revolutionary when it's just adequate. Subaru's marketing should be clearer about that.
