Good question. Dealer notification typically happens in phases. If your dealership hasn't received the notice yet, they should within the next few days. Keep checking back with them.

This is frustrating. I bought this vehicle expecting reliability and now I have to deal with this. The maintenance cost for the downtime alone could be substantial for small business owners like me.

This just reinforces my decision to go with a different brand. Too many issues popping up with the new Transit generation.

Can we please stop catastrophizing? Ford has excellent dealer networks and they'll get people in and out quickly. This isn't the end of the world.

Quick update: I've confirmed that the recall appears to affect Transit vehicles produced between specific dates. I'm still working on getting the complete list of VIN ranges. Once I have that, I'll create a separate post so it's easy to reference.

Has anyone gotten their Transit into the dealership yet? I'd love to hear what the actual repair experience is like and how long it takes.

I found the official Ford recall notice on their website. It's under the Safety Recalls section. Definitely check it out - it has all the VIN information you need.

I called my dealership this morning and they said they don't have official recall information yet. Maybe the rollout is still happening? Should we be concerned if they don't know about it yet?
