Re: Abandoned Trailers Hiding License Plate Readers Across California - Privacy Concern

Law enforcement would say this helps catch criminals, and maybe it does for serious cases. But this feels like a massive overreach. There has to be a balance between public safety and privacy rights. Where's the oversight?

Good point Sofia. Transparency would actually help build public trust rather than this sneaky approach. But I still question whether we need this level of surveillance at all.

I actually disagree with the premise here. Modern buttons are fine if you maintain them properly. Maybe don't use them so aggressively? This seems like normal wear to me.

Still think people are overreacting. Button wear happens on every car, including vintage ones. It's just wear and tear. Not everything is a conspiracy against the consumer.

Olivia_lee, are you serious? Lighting is absolutely critical for safety. If your lights fail while you're driving at night, you could cause an accident or get hit by someone who can't see you. This is definitely worth taking seriously.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out, Anna. This is exactly the kind of recall that could have had serious consequences if people ignored it. Stay safe out there everyone.
