Different strokes for different folks. Not every car needs to appeal to the mass market. Porsche thrives on building cars for specific customer profiles. Lotus can do the same if they execute properly. The question is execution quality.

If you do get one, set aside a dedicated budget for rust remediation. The body panels and undercarriage are vulnerable on these cars. Preventive maintenance is absolutely critical.
