That's a fair point. The 3.0si is definitely preferable to the 2.5i if you're going to drive it regularly. The extra power makes a difference. As for value, check recent sold listings in your area for comparables. That's the best way to know what to bid.

One more thing - check all the rubber seals, gaskets, and hoses carefully. That's where age really shows on these cars. If the previous owner was meticulous about preventive maintenance you'll be in much better shape long term.
