I completely disagree with the notion that start-stop is safe for engine longevity. Every time an engine starts, there's a moment where oil hasn't fully circulated through the engine. Exactly Noah. This is what I've been saying. The transmission takes a hit every single time. It's all about cost cutting for manufacturers. They save money on fuel consumption claims while pushing the maintenance burden onto consumers.
