The timing of this makes sense - winters not even over yet and BMW is already looking ahead. Smart move to announce new variants when people are thinking about all-wheel drive capability.

This leak is probably intentional. BMW knows how to build hype before an official announcement. These variants will likely debut at a major auto show soon.
