Thanks for the early responses! I should clarify - the heavily modified one actually started as a Japanese sports car from the early 2000s. The owner basically stripped it down and rebuilt it from the ground up. Respect the effort, but definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Luna makes a fair point about design integrity. That's actually what separates the really clever builds from the ones that just feel like they're trying too hard.
