White Powder on New Car Parts - What Is It Really?
Hey everyone, I just picked up some new parts for my car and noticed a weird white powder coating on almost everything. At first I thought it was just dust or packaging material, but it's actually stuck on pretty good. I did some research and found out this isn't uncommon, but I wanted to get the ...

Re: White Powder on New Car Parts - What Is It Really?
Thanks for the responses so far. I think I'm going to go with the compressed air method since it seems the safest. My concern now is about the maintenance cost if this stuff isn't cleaned properly and causes issues down the line. Anyone had problems with residual powder affecting component ...

Re: White Powder on New Car Parts - What Is It Really?
Update: I went with the compressed air method and it worked perfectly. Most of the powder came right off without any effort. I'm confident the parts are now clean and ready for installation. Thanks everyone for the advice!

Re: 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe - Spectacular Performance Machine with Low Mileage
I have to disagree with the enthusiasm here. While it's a great car, the 992 Turbo is overpriced in the current market. You're paying nearly $200k for a car that depreciates quickly. For that money, you could get multiple fantastic sports cars or invest in something more stable.

I still maintain there are better value propositions in the market. A used 718 Cayman GT4 or even a Chevrolet Corvette C8 offers better bang for buck. The Porsche badge premium is real here.

Re: Master COTA Road Course Racing with NASCAR's Expert Tips
The elevation changes at COTA are wild. That's what makes it so different from typical road courses. The guide probably covers this, but I'm curious how much emphasis they put on setup changes for dealing with the altitude variations throughout the circuit.

Re: 2027 Ford Ranger Raptor - First Look & Specs Discussion
Anyone know the estimated maintenance costs for this thing? EcoBoost engines can get pricey when it comes to servicing, and those Raptor-spec suspension components won't be cheap either.

Re: 2027 Ford Ranger Raptor - First Look & Specs Discussion
I've been looking at dealer quotes, and Raptor-spec maintenance packages are running about 30% higher than standard Rangers. Worth it if you're using the capability.

The color options in these photos look stunning. I'm particularly drawn to the darker interior tones. Very sophisticated.
