Actually, I disagree with the skeptics here. American manufacturers have proven they can compete at the highest levels. The C8 proved it in supercar territory. The C8-X is just the logical next step. Why shouldn't Chevrolet aim higher?

This is incredible. The C8-X looks absolutely menacing. Those aerodynamic elements are properly functional, not just for show. Chevrolet is finally taking their performance division seriously at the highest level. The transition from supercar to hypercar is the natural evolution.

I don't think this is surprising at all. Gas stations operate on razor-thin margins. They're always looking for ways to cut costs. This is just the cost of capitalism, unfortunately. Buyers beware.
