Response to the skeptics: The report came from official inspectors, not some random blog. This was published by Jalopnik citing official data. I trust government inspection standards more than random gas stations that profit from selling you lower quality fuel.

I just read something absolutely infuriating about gas stations here in New York City. According to recent inspections, 96% of the gas stations that were tested are apparently lying about their octane levels. This is a massive scam affecting thousands of drivers every single day.
