This is great news for Brampton if it actually works. The city needs those manufacturing jobs badly. Hundreds of workers depend on automotive production for their livelihoods. Rezoning is a creative solution that doesn't require massive cash incentives upfront.

@andrewhall59 Good questions. I imagine the city has negotiated some kind of timeline and contingencies. They wouldn't offer rezoning without some guarantees from Stellantis about their intentions.
